Brown University Humanities Initiative
The initiative, through high-profile faculty appointments and programming awards, advances both disciplinary and cross-disciplinary research. Launched in 2010 as a collaboration between the Cogut Institute and the Office of the President, the initiative is a major, long-term investment in the humanities at Brown.
Brown Journal of Medical Humanities
Sponsored by the Cogut Institute for the Humanities, The Brown Journal of Medical Humanities is an undergraduate-run publication that spotlights the emerging field of medical humanities, broadly defined as the interdisciplinary, humanistic, and cultural study of illness, healthcare, and the body.
