Cogut Institute for the Humanities
People
Amanda Anderson leads the Cogut Institute for the Humanities since 2015 and is Andrew W. Mellon Professor of English and Humanities.
The board advises the director on the institute's strategic direction and programmatic initiatives and participates in the fellowship and award selections.
The Cogut Institute is home to Brown University's Humanities Initiative scholars as well several visiting and affiliated faculty members. Humanities Initiative Scholars are appointed jointly at the institute and in a department at the distinguished chair level.
Fellows
Doctoral students hold the fellowship in the third, fourth, or fifth year of their Ph.D. program and at any stage of their pursuit of the doctoral certificate.
